Gigabit not shown on secondary NIC

Swinzon

Hello! I just got my hands on the TP-Link TG-3468, I installed it, and got internet on both NIC`s. (TP and built in).
I activated gigabit on the secondary NIC but it`s not showing... Any help?

If you're talking about the middle window showing that it's operating at 100Mbps...

Is the network actually gigabit capable?

I know.

The network is max 12mbps

But it's going through a gigabit switch.

I get gigabit on my built in NIC on my server amd tranfering from my NUC to the server at gigabit speeds

Ah, gotcha. Honestly, all I can think of now is that there's some kind of conflict between the built-in NIC and add-on one, or there's some retarded power saving feature activated.

Okei, I see. U know if there is possible to disable it?

I honestly am not 100% sure. The dual gigabit NICs on my M2N-SLI Deluxe have just manged to run fine without any intervention.

If you swap which ports go to what does the same thing happen to port 1 on the NIC? That would tell you it's an issue with the other end or the negotiation is messing up.

Okey, I didn`t mention that the secondary NIC is connected to a Asus RT-N12 that can only output 300Mbps, so I just figured out the problem... God dammit

I can share in this facepalm moment. I was trying to figure out why I couldn't get gigabit speeds at my grandma's, since her SO has the same modem. They limited hers to 100Mbps, even though the hardware is capable of pushing 1Gbps.

No that's not the problem. The 300 Mbps is in reference to the wireless N. The problem is that your Asus device has 10/100 Ethernet ports.
