Hi guys so just to speed things up i need you insight for this issue the CPU Test today is the Intel G3258 and the MoBo's are the MSI H81M-P33 with the ASUS B85M-GAMER.

Here what i did on both system use them both on stock and did a 5min Prime95 to see my baseline in terms of CPU Temps.

MSI H81M-P33          Core#0 57C/Core#1 57C/Package 58C/ and the CPUFAN 962-1323RPM

ASUS B85M-GAMER Core#0 63C/Core#1 63C/Package 63C/ and the CPUFAN 969-1019RPM

So this test was tested using "Stock Speed" no "Overclocking"

So can anyone here help me on my ASUS FAN Settings i think the issue is that it does not go up to 1000+RPM that's why is getting 5-6C more Hotter on my MSI.

to who will ask why i have two MoBo before when i purchase the MSI H81M-P33 for $49 right after i sold it i took all my test log of my overclock G3258 to have a Baseline on my Overclocking finally a friend of mine bought it for $45 and i purchase this ASUS B85M-GAMER here is the price originally it was for $79 but i got it for $15 Less so a total of $64 only added $19.

Hope someone can help i want to learn on this ASUS MoBo Much more headroom in the future Overclocking the G3258. the MSI H81M-P33 has a 1.300 Max CPU Voltage this ASUS B85M-GAMER has a 1.920 Max CPU Voltage.

Thank in Advance, please help me no troll Comment. :(

i personally  have no clue about the fan setting but that/s  odd ,,,  you sure the thermal paste and mounting were exactly the same because 10 degrees difference  ,,, or it could actually be a false temp reading and reading  either MSI reading cooler or the  Asus reading warmer.  interesting weird little result though.

on the msi i did 3 thermal paste application mounted it for 3 times as well then only goes 56-59, did the same process on the asus 3 thermal paste application mounted it for 3 times as well then it goes 61-64. so i think there is nothing wrong about the proper thermal application and i mounted them properly. but the only difference is that on the msi then it reach 50c the fan speed kick to 1100RMP then goes to 1300RMP on my ASUS when it goes to 50 it stay 900RMP and still stay 900RMP go to 1000RMP once then go back to 900RMP. i really don't know whats wrong do i have a defective CPU FAN Header or Something else.

ah ok,, thanks for the clarification then,, sounds like the PWM isnt working as it should on the Asus board.

wait for more opinions before taking mine. I theres something i may not know about  it.

ok but I think I finally get it when you said PWM check my bios setting the normal setting for it was at 30C and at 70C so my fan did not even kick to high if the temp are 70c bellow. ill test it more.

can some one tell me if is it okay if I turbo my fan setting? to get low temps on my CPU?
