so I should get the seasonic psu instead of the corsair? I kind of wanted to avoid using a network card since I kind of have crappy wifi

stop

going

for

cx

psus

unless you have a #300 budget, go for cx. but since you have $400, you can obviously spend an extr a$10 for a MUCH better psu

seasonic, evga, and NON CX corsair psus are good. also xfx

no

so as long as the corsair psu is not a cx, it will be fine.

fore example, corsair ax, and rm, and such EXCLUDING CX, is better than the seasonic.

just use ethernet

gotcha! thanks!

i think im gonna go with a seasonic

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/seasonic-power-supply-ssr350st

if not then this one

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-100b10500kr

go for the evga.

the seasonic one does not have enough wattage output.
the evga one will work "fine", however, i suggest you get a 750 minimum wattage psu.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438017

the 750 watt version is a better deal, as the 600 watt is $99, and the 750 watt is $109. $110 more for 100 more watts is a good deal

Not really. One has to allow about 5% - 10% for aging. I would also suggest a bit more than max estimated draw to allow for additional storage units and possibly a memory upgrade. But double is not necessary.

It is difficult to find good quality lower wattage psu. As a result, one sometimes ends up getting something larger than needed. Nothing worse than a poor quality and unreliable psu.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
