This is a problem I had for some time: I use Command Center to control my CPU fan (Hyper212 evo) while gaming, fixing it at 100% (should be 2000rpm, but it reaches only 1700rpm). What happens is that it randomly falls down to 700-800rpm, making my CPU reach 65°C (OC'd FX-6300). Anyone knows why this happens?

Given that they excel in pretty much everything else, Cooler Master makes surprisingly crappy fans.

So changing the fan with something like a noctua will fix this?

Maybe. Mine reaches 2000 rpm on a msi z87 no problem though.

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

Yeah I'll just change the fan. Just as curiosity: could it be my PSU not able to deliver enough power? I have both CPU and GPU OC'd (with 3 HDD, 1 DVD reader and 3 usb devices) and the PSU is a CX600.

its not a great PSU but your system shouldnt be beyond its capacity at all.
