Is this any good for a cheap gaming build? Monitor, peripherals and ethernet cable are sorted :)

Thanks for your time,

Sincerely, Arthorian

Thanks for reading this! Shame that there's nothing here worthwhile for you to read... but you are still reading. Why?

Cpu might be a tiny bottleneck but it shouldnt affect anything really. Yea overall a solid build, but maybe go for a Boot SSD for boot times and maybe game storage.

Hope this helps :P

Thanks :) I think the HDD will do for now, I don't mind waiting. I'll take your suggestions about the CPU and look around.

Will the microATX board work in the ATX case?

Fantastic, Good luck with the build.

What type of monitors are you looking for, and are you planning on a single, or double configuration?

Keyboards and other peripherals are completely subjective, you can easily find a decent membrane $10 keyboard and a $5 dollar mouse, but most likely these won't look cool, or gaming-grade.

Or, if you really don't care, just go around asking random businesses if they have leftover keyboards or other peripherals. People make livings off of collecting old computers and keyboards and re-selling them.

In all honesty, I would advise 8GB of RAM at the minimum for games.

Other than that, pretty reasonable build.

MOTHERBOARD - ASUS PRIME X370-PRO
RAM - 32GB (4x8GB) CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX DDR4-2400

GRAPHICS CARD - EVGA NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 980Ti SC+ ACX 2.0 w/ BACKPLATE
BOOT and PROGRAMS - CORSAIR MP600 1TB
GAMES and FILES - TOSHIBA 2TB
INTERNAL BACKUP - WESTERN DIGITAL GREEN 4TB
POWER SUPPLY - CORSAIR RM850i
CASE - CORSAIR OBSIDIAN 750D

As this is a build for my younger brother, I am giving him my BenQ EW2440l monitor, and I am upgrading to a 144z monitor. We have decided on a £25 keyboard and mouse set that he likes the look of :)

This. Looks good other than the lack of 8GB of memory.
