This gaming temp on cpu ok?

So I got a 4680k overclocked to about 4.60hz using 1.28v. Not in everything but in some games I've tested (RIsrael of the Tomb Raider, GTA 5) the temps hit the low 70c ish mark. Is this ok? Under stress testing I seem to get around 75c peaking in the low 80s.

It depends what cooler you are using, however, those temps are safe

Sorry I forgot and left that out. I have a Seidon 240m.

Whether or not it's okay doesn't depend on the cooler. Solely the temps, and on Intel chips anything sub 80 is fine for 24/7 usage, and anything up to 85 is fine if you don't stay that high.

Ok thanks, I didn't think they were terrible temps but wasn't sure if it was the norm. I expect a temp jump from stock to overclocked. Think if I run stock speeds I get 55-60c.

Yeah I did say the temps were okay... But if you had a bossin' custom watercooling loop and was getting those temps, there would be something not right
