New Build Won't Boot! Please help!

I just built my PC last night and it won't boot. It does not have a hard drive yet, but I can't even get it to boot to the BIOS. Any ideas?

Where's the video cable plugged in? Is the PSU turned in at the back? Are all the connectors plugged in and seated properly?

PSU was turned on for sure because everything was getting power, but I got a blank screen. Video cable was plugged in as well.

did you try onboard video?

did you have the correct input chosen?

in addition to what Randomness said ....

 

After checking that and still no result , start doing some troubleshooting, Check the ram make sure you seated everything correctly ,   then go through each part ,  down to the video card ,  if still nothing works , then it could be a defective psu or motherboard.

 

dont freak out and jump to conclusions though  ,, narrow down the source.

Video cable plugged in where? Also, have you got the EPS cable plugged in? (4 or 8 pin on the motherboard, make sure it's EPS and not PCIe).

Cables seem to be hooked up. I'm afraid I might have to take it in to get the BIOS updated to work with this processor
