I want to overclock my intel core i7 4790K processor.

I use a GB Z97 Overclocking supported motherboard and a dual tower heat sink and enough cooler fans to cool my case.

I already referred a LTT guide video and the voltage optimization part is little blurry for me... Can some one explain it !!!

Thank You...

there are tons of topics about this ;)  just use the forum search function

the higher clocks can run "unstable" and increasing the voltage a bit could make it stable

lays OC'd his devils canyon to 6ghz

thats what he told me

Easy settings to start with trying would be 1.5 vccin (cpu input voltage in asus bios I believe) then do like 1.25 vcore, and try and see if 4.7 Ghz is stable.

If not, you can try 4.6 Ghz or you can try 4.7 Ghz at slightly higher volts like 1.275v.
