Hello, with the economy in canada, the prices are a bit higher than in the united states and im writing because im not sure yet about what components i will use. The only components that im sure i will use is : noctua nh d15, corsair vengence c70, a G.Skill Ares 2x8gb kit, a Corsair CSM 550W and 2 tb 7200rpm from seagate. So i have a budget of around 1500$ canadian (only the computer) the only thing that blocks me is the cpu. I have the choice of going with intel with the intel pentium g3258 since it can be overclocked with an orange motherboard (my build is black and orange) ive choosen the gigabyte GA Z87X-OC (if you have a better choice let me know) or an amd cpu, a AMD FX6300 with an MSI 970 Gaming. For the GPU ill let you guys decide wich one to get. My only problem with these 2 builds is:

  1. A.for intel, im afraid that the pentium will suck and even with the overclock it will suck. B. That when ill have enough money, the 1150 cpus will get expensive.
  2. for AMD, A.i heard some bad things about the 6300 that it wasnt adequate for todays game, B. I heard that the AM3+ socket was dead and there is nothing to do with it anymore. Feel free to change the components in the list if they are inadequate. Im planning to play games like call of duty, battlefield, payday etc etc, games like shadow of the mordor, the witcher doesnt interest me.

avoid that corsair psu at all costs. a seasonic s12ii 520W would have much better quality. If its just games like bo3, a 380 or 960 is enough. (380 is better with no memory bottlenecks, unless you can find a 960 for cheaper). for the cpu, you can keep the stock cooler and probably have enough to upgrade to an i5.

For the gpu i have a price range of around 250$ So i think the r9 380 4g from msi should do the job and for the PSU, i dont know really but, i think i remember someone say that the PSU is one of the most important component in a pc so im aiming to a 600 watts psu and maybe lower with a 80+ gold efficiency.
