Hi,

 

I'm Omar, just wanted to showcase my current rig, nothing fancy, but I think it looks clean and the specs serve me well...

 

 

Silence is key in my build, so we begin with the case, bequiet! Silent Base 800 (bought after being reviewed by Linus) & 1000W Corsair RM1000i (zero RPM Fan)

 

 

Added a couple of cheap white LED strips

 

 

bequiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 CPU Cooler to keep my Intel Core i7-4790K cool

 

 

Cooler covers the 16gb RAM

 

 

 

MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition installed into case

 

 

BitFenix Alchemy SATA & Shakmods front panel white sleeved/braided cables

Previous version of build had an RM750 PSU

 

 

280 before 390

First build was a 27" all in one

 

 

Second build was a cube

 

 

Third build was a HTPC

 

 

 

Later upgraded the Scythe CPU cooler to a Noctua and added a low profile AMD 7750 GPU

 

 

Fourth build was a small tower/cube as I wanted to get into PC gaming, I needed a new case upgrade from 7750 to 7950

 

 

 

The 7950 failed on me

 

 

Replaced with MSI R9 280x

 

 

 

Replaced the Noctua with a Dark Rock 3 (now I have the Dark Rock 3 Pro)

 

 

Some random mini iTX machine I built with spare parts

 

 

I also built an arcade machine

 

 

Some of my other toys (no I am not an Apple fan boy, I have a Nexus 9 and 2 other Android Tablets and a Windows 10 tablet)

If you clean up your cable management under your desk, get rid of some of the not extremely essential things on the desk, you should definitely enter your setup into something like Setup Wars

I don't think so. With the AMD m-ATX board I had in the DS cube, the orientation was the way you describe, however it also meant the fan was mounted in an odd position so the flow of air didn't make sense.
