What is better?

Tiki

So I was thinking of getting the Fx-6350 OCM but people said it was a under performer to the i3. I thought it could compare to some i5 though. Idk if it will be that great of cpu for my gaming build (GTX 96 4gb PNY). If it is bad can you help me find a  good cpu for a budget of $139.99 USD's. Thank you oh and i'm planning to play CS:GO and battlefield hitman and so on :).

1) The Core i3 will run cooler and be faster in single threaded operations.

2) The Core i3 is also more efficient and uses a newer manufacturing process.

3) Intel's upgrade path is much better than AMD's. For example, if you buy a i3 now, you can upgrade to a i5 or i7 at a later time.

Ideally, a i5 is perfect for gaming. But I would recommend the i3 for this build.

*you will need an Intel motherboard too if you go with an Intel chip*

The one that i'm getting has 6 cores. why do you think a dual core will be better?

more cores doesn't equel better performence

ideally a i5-4690k is the pinnacle but a i5-4400 will work if your trying to save money.
