24" vs 27" 1080p

Bliznipa

Ugh. So I made a similar thread to this yesterday but I still can't decide on monitor size. This is for console streaming/gaming. I really want a 27" but I've heard images can be slightly off in comparison to their 24" counterparts. I still can't decide between 24" and 27".

I've heard for gaming monitors that 1080p on 27" monitors can be less than ideal and you should only go up to 24". I'm wondering how valid that really is? I'll be gaming/streaming on 1080p and I still can't decide between 24 and 27.

Any input, especially someone who has both sizes at 1080p would be appreciated.

Thanks

It completely depends on how far you are from the screen when playing

I have a BenQ XL2720Z and it's perfect. I'm around 50cm away from it and it's fine. Nothing wrong with input or images being "slightly off".

Anyone who's been telling your that is probably misinformed.

I say jiggly-bytes when I see "GB".

It goes down better than you would expect.

For 1080p, 24" is perfectly fine. I'd only go 27" if you have a good amount of distance between you in the monitor.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

I'd estimate probably 2-3 feet. Like sitting at a desk with a computer. Thank you for the input

Definitely get the 27 inch. If it's 3 feet see if you can get 30+ too. I just prefer a lot of screen space.
