Hi LTT Forum,

I am just wondering if their is a way to allow me to use my function keys with out having to press function. For example when I want to turn up my audio or brightness I have to hold the function key. This is the first laptop to do this and I just want it to stop. For the record I am using Windows 10 Pro.

Thanks a heap.

I don't know how your laptop works but on my xps 15 I can press the function key and escape to switch the primary layer of the function keys. For example the default is for the media controls etc. to be the primary layer but I can toggle it with fn + escape to make the f1-f12 the primary function. There may be something similar on your laptop.

Well, most Windows laptops do this, so just deal with it. And besides, it's just one extra button, not 10 extra buttons.
