Hi i overclocked my GTX 960 FTW last night to one issue i have is that i know i'm bottlenecking from my cpu can you guys tell me how to overclock this i bit i'm not looking to match a i7 4690k but a little 5 hour energy is in need.

 

the cpu and board came out of a dell inspiron T1500 if that helps and right now its running at stock

I don't think the i7-860 is bottlenecking the GTX960. Also there are many guides on overclocking if you search the forums. Maybe get it up to like 3.5ghz and you should be more than fine.

Most likely, that board can't OC. Even if it could, I wouldn't risk it, as OEM board usually have pretty bad components.

 

Still, very few games would actually be bottlenecked by that CPU. With or without OCs. For the vast majority, the problem is going to be the 960's fairly week chip.
