Nvidia Display Driver Has Stopped Working

Go to solution Solved by IPickle,

I tend not to get the latest drivers as I have had this issue before. I wait for them to mature a bit.

However, This link may guide you: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/faq/id-1653275/fix-irql-equal-error-windows.html

Also sorry for the late reply, I had to check CoC if I was allowed to post a URL.

Regards,

Sam

My friend has had this problem since he built his computer in December.

He originally had a GTX 750ti, which the problems were also occurring on, but he got a GTX 960 as he thought that it could be the cause of the problem but no, it is still happening on the 960.

We have updated drivers, minorly increased GPU voltage with msi afterburner (inconclusive so we turned it back to 100%), changed from power saving mode to performance mode and changed PCI-e slots but that hasn't stopped it.

He is also getting frequent blue screens, with no common error code. One time

it is IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and the next MEMORY_MANAGMENT. He rarely gets one that has happened before.

I know that part wasn't GPU related but it may be related.

Any help is appreciated,

Sam

(If it makes any difference the cooler is an ASUS Strix)
