I've been experiencing intermittent shutdowns on my PC. It goes through the normal shutdown screen just to be exact. Upon opening the chassis to check for any loose wires or if anything seems too hot, I noticed that my PSU, the RM750 was quite hot.

I then checked the current temp of the system in the BIOS. CPU was currently at 45 degrees celsius which should still be good. However, that pushed me to search for any issues with the PSU in regard with overheating. That's when I found previous issues with the RM750 with the same symptoms. It seems that the PSU fan doesn't run at all no matter what happened.

The serial of my unit isn't the same but I believe a newer one but it's exhibiting the same symptoms as the ones above. No error messages on the OS end even after booting the system after the shutdown which (in my experience) rules out OS or other hardware as the issue.

I was thinking that the problem may be with the power/reset buttons on the case but I've noticed that this doesn't happen when my PC has just been used for a couple of hours.

Current build is on my signature if it'll help.

I'll try the RAM once the shutdown starts again. What I was thinking is that since it never goes past the 40% load, the fan never runs even if it gets hot due to prolonged usage.

If I recall correctly your psu is using a fanless method until it utilize 40%, for of try with only one stick of ram and check if it still happening.

Tried with only one stick but the issue is still present. It happened again earlier and I just decided to leave it turned off, but for some reason, the system decided to turn itself on.

Try resetting the rams, after that try to clear your cmos battery.

I'll try both of the above and observe what would happen. Also, Corsair has also replaced my PSU and the issue is still present.

Is it possible that the power/reset buttons could be the cause?
