Hello!
I've upgraded my computer like a month ago and it's been like a downgrade as it lags more in games or even the game crashing/blue screen and so on and I'm getting tired of it now :(

My current setup:
Intel core i5 4690K
8GB Corsair 1600Mhz
Gigabyte Geforce GTX 660 2GB
Gigabyte Ga Z97X Gaming 3
500W Psu

My old setup:
Intel core i5 650
6GB random ram
Packard bell motherboard
Gigabyte Geforce GTX 660 2GB
500W Psu

Things I have tried:
I've tried reinstall my Windows, twice.
Formated my hard drive that I have my games on.
Underclocking my GPU (Solved some of the crashing but still lagging)

And as I said before, I could play games and so on fine with my old setup but with the new setup I get crashes, lower fps/lag and so on with the same settings as I had with my old setup. (Example The Crew. I even get crashes/low fps with games that don't require much)

Does anyone know what's wrong? :(

500w PSU ...

Brand? Model?

Run memtest to diagnose the ram.

Run some graphics benchmarks to diagnose the GPU.

If that's a CPU with integrated graphics, try uninstalling all GPU drivers, remove the graphics card, and test with the integrated graphics.

Linus is my fetish.

Check the power supply, what brand/model is it? It may be low quality, and crashing due to power usage as the newer Intel CPUs are more power hungry.

I've got a Super Flower (I think it's called) PSU. It's been a while since I bought it.

Try the latest 3D mark. It crashes easily with unstable clock speeds. This won't damage anything, but will show you if the GPU is the problem.

Will try it when I get home from school. Will return with results :)

Didn't crash in any of the test.

No the graphics card seems fine, try running a CPU torture test such as OCCT.

I had OCCT going for 30 min, tempatures didn't go over 80 °C and nothing happened during that 30 min. So I have no idea what I should do know :(

Really no idea then, ID still say maybe try a new PSU if none of the components have any faults.

Have you got the latest Intel and motherboard drivers installed as well?

Probably will buy a new PSU when I get money I think.

Yeah I do. And the latest BIOS.

Btw just got an error message from when my game crashed."  the "application name" has been blocked from accesing the graphic hardware "

Oh, and thanks for all help, your awesome! :)
