Bitrate Unit in OBS?

Put 8000 to max out YT stream upload.

obs is not clear with the bitrate of the output under recording...

 

since youtube max bitrate is 8Mbps... many people just put 2000 bitrate or less.. which confuses me.. i want to know the unit,it will be very convinient
