Major PC Upgrade

Sooo, I pretty much have a s*** computer that is not good enough for my needs. (Pretty much gaming, video editing, streaming and video recording)
So I am planning to do a major upgrade, upgrading everything, but the drives.

So, I am going with an MSI GTX 970 4GB and a 4,0GHz Intel Core i7 4790K, I am also planning to go with 8-16 GB RAM.
But I have no idea which motherboard I should use, I'm also unsure on which RAM-set I should use.

I've never built a PC before, but I know what I am going for.

Also, I'm planning to go with a 600W power supply.

Ram is pretty straight forward, pick the cheapest kit from a reputable brand in the size you want. Your going to need a Z87 or Z97 board to overclock the cpu so find the cheapest one that fits your needs.

Pretty much everything, from smaller games like osu! and CS:GO to bigger stuff like shadow of mordor, the witcher 3 and GTA V

Get a 390 unless your utilizing the cuda from the 970

If you have a favored color scheme, you can tell me and i'll try to find the colors,

ram is ram, none of them are really "Better" than each other

I am going to utalize the cuda in the 970.

Honestly, I don't really care TOO much about colors, I mean, I don't have a window on my case at all.
but I guess I really like black and red, like everyone else.
