I got fed up with the sniper button always getting hit by my thumb so I decided to finally remove it. I opened my G502 and so far there were no complications until I had a few buttons left. I don't seem to know what next button to remove, my guess is the G8 (Since the G7's hole is too small and it would need the G8 to be removed for it to fit out) but I think it's stuck since I tried to pry it open but it won't budge. Anyone else have other thoughts?

So, why didn't you just disable the button from the logitech software?

Because it's not a problem with the button's function but rather a problem with its physical presence. I absolutely hate the feeling of my thumb not in a straight position and feeling that small bump.

Just an update, I was right, I sucessfully removed the g8 button after I tried to pry it open again. I guess it was just stuck due to being pushed down by the screw before. Now for the last buttons, I'm still trying to determine how to remove the whole panel because it won't come off atm.

Edit (after literally 1 minute): Okay I removed it, turns out I had to pop out the top side first since if I popped out the bottom one, it would hit some parts and make it impossible to pop the top side.

Okay I assembled everything together and removed the sniper button. I'm gonna post a pic tomorrow.

Interesting. I have the opposite problem where I find that button kinda hard to press. I find it to be too far forward for me and would prefer it to be slightly further back. Then again my grip is strange and I hold my mouse rather far back.

Just an update, here's what it looks like. I'm currently looking for a texture similar to its grip to cover up the hole. I also learned how it gets actuated so if I do it right, I could possibly return the button's functionality while having a straight flowing thumb rest. Another option would be to just sand belt the button until it becomes thin enough for me to slap another texture above it.

Hmmm that is quite strange as I rarely see people having that kind of problem.
