I have the i7 5820k and the rampage v extreme along with the lpx vengence 2666 mhz ram, but in the bios my cpu speed says 2900 but when I look @ cpu z the core speed is running @ 1201.87 mhz and I've also seen it jump to 2000 at times, is this normal or is something wrong with my cpu?

the cpu automatically lowers it clock when not needed to save power. run a stress test and oyur clocks will be a stable 2900

if its 3.3 ghz stock and 3.6 turbo why doesnt it say 3300 instead of 2900?

Readings might be wrong. As stated above , you should stress test it and see if it stays at 3600. If it does not even reach 3300 , it might be a terrible overclocker , even underclocking to be stable , so you could send it back. Also , try oc ing it yourself , and post a cpu z pic and a bios pic.

Make sure you have intel turbo boost on in your bios, then run a stress test and check your frequency
