I have a ga-78lmt motherboard with an amd fx-8320 (tm) eight-core processor, 6gb (2 x 3) ram, and 2 500gb toshiba hdd's, and amd radeon 7700 graphics card. I am wanting to upgrade to a nividia 970 graphics card but don't know if it will be worth  putting into my current build or to start a new build for later use over the years to come. This being primarily for gaming, virtual reality exc.

Hope i have included everything accurately, thanks!

It will work but there may be a a slight bottleneck,

I would recommend building a new pc something around $1000. With better CPU and more ram it will be much more suitable with a $350 graphics card.

3 tips to have a good time on the LTT forums | 1. When you reply to someone please quote them | 2. Please follow your threads | 3. Follow the C.o.C

If you follow these 3 tips you should have a blast.

i'm rather proud of this for some reason. http://imgur.com/6ttS5XZ
