Since yesterday my PC or my Xbox Controller has been acting weird. If I plug it in I can play the game without a problem at all, but as soon as I unplug the controller from the cable my PC starts to lag/stutter in a weird way.

What happens is that it seems like my mouse is moving like at 2 fps and I can hear a looping beeping noise everytime I click the mouse button.

I found in task manager that dwm.exe is taking about 40% of the CPU when this occurs and it looks like some sort of driver crash that is messing with my desktop.

When this problem occurs I can't click anything on my desktop but I can use keyboard shortcuts like Ctrl + Alt + Delete, this is how I found that dwm.exe was using a lot of the CPU.

I tried uninstalling the Xbox Controller drivers and reinstalling them but to no avail.

Whenever this happens I have to manually restart my computer using the button on the front of my case.

PC Specs are here in case anyone wants to see them.

Thanks for reading my post, I highly value your input on my problem! :)

I could also make a video to show you how I recreate the issue and what actually happens. If anyone deems it necessary I'll make it.
