Inexpensive Wireless Controllers?

I am going to be building a htpc/couch gaming pc for multiplayer. What are some good inexpensive wireless controllers for multiplayer that can work on Windows and Linux?

CPU: AMD Ryzan 7 7800X3D ECO Mode 105W & PBO Each Core -25 Mobo: ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming WiFi   RAM: 32 GB(2x16GB) G.Skill Flare X6 EXPO @6000MHz  GPU: ASRock Phantom Gaming OC Edition AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT
Case: Lian Li O11 Air Mini  PSU: Corsair RM1000e  SSD: Team Group MP34 4TB PCIe 4 NVME & 2x SSD 2.5 1TB, Mushkin REACTOR 960GB, Patriot Torch LE 960GB  Cooling: Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE (PS120SE) with ARCTIC MX-6 & 9x Thermalright TL-C12 PRO 120mm

Steam Controller isn't a bad controller. But what is an "inexpensive" controller? $10, $50, $100?

Can't recommend a controlled, but most wireless devices can run on linux, you'll just have to use Wine or add a couple files to your kernal/strap for the drivers, so don't limit your options too much just because the controller doesn't say linux

I just bought the Xbox one with windows wireless adapter, simple to use

It will add up when I get 4 controllers and the Steam Controller isn't great for fps I hear.
