GPU clock speed way below normal

Hey guys I got 2 ASUS strix 980ti's in my rig, and for some reason they are both way below their normal clock speed of ~1250MHz. Instead they hitting a max of 595MHz and an avg of 405MHz. 

 

What is going on??? Can someone help me? I cannot even play the simplest games at 30fps when Im usually around 100fps+

I would test the cards in a different machine if you have the ability, if they work in another computer your problem probably lies in your PSU or motherboard. Do you know your thermals? They could even just be throttling due to poor ventilation if you're running the two cards in a small case.

One thing you might try, is running one card at a time to see how they perform then. If they both run at normal speeds when they are in there solo, the issue may be SLI-related. Or as Spork829 suggested it may be a heat issue. Multiple high-end cards in close proximity can be prone to overheating if the air around them is not adequately circulated. To this end, you will want to keep an eye on the GPU temperatures.

try restarting your pc, if that doesn't work then reinstall the drivers for it. something simular happend before with my 970 so if basicly throttled because the fan wasn't turning on. for me a restart worked
