Will cookie clicker overnight wreck my battery?

crabcrabcam

So I just got a new phone. Off of my old Nokia brick and onto an actual smartphone. I installed cookie clicker (of course) and remembered something I did ages ago on my iPod touch, leaving it on charge over night with cookie clicker loaded and the screen turned to never sleep. It was awesome for cookies but, my battery is now wrecked and lasts 10 minutes and I was wondering if this was the problem. It's an Ipod 3rd gen, and I have seen some stories about it's battery...

TL;DR: if I leave my phone running overnight cookie clicking, will I wreck the battery?
