We're shopping around and I thought I'd ask for advice from the best techies on the net.

What we're looking for;

Size: 55-60in

Resolution: 4K

Smart: Optional

Curved: Optional

3D: No

 

Crucial factors in the decision will be the picture clarity and color accuracy and range;

i.e. vibrant colors without being too saturated, bright (not blinding whites) and the best black levels.

Bonus: Reputable panel producer with good warranty.

 

Some of this may not be the correct terminology, first time shopping for a TV.

 

Budget: Under $1,000 after shipping / taxes
