No windows display

I can log into Windows and use it but it's just a black screen no icons or taskbar and the only way I can open anything is if I ctrl-alt-delete and go into task manager and run new task and i cant do any other keboard shourtcuts/commands any reason it's doing this?

What happens if you type "explorer.exe" into the new task box

Wow thanks its fixed but can you explain how it fixed it just curious

Explorer runs the task-bar and icon system. For some reason I guess it wasn't running, when you ran that .exe it booted up the program thus bringing up the task-bar and icons.

Explorer.exe is the whole shell of Windows. For some reason explorer isn't getting started when Windows boots. Try running sfc /scannow in a command prompt.

If it used to work, and now not (i mean every time you start the system you have no task bar and all that), then you go a system restore, allowing you simply bring back your system back in time (SHOULD not affecting your files (backup just in case, especially your latest files of importance)). http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/4588-system-restore-windows-10-a.html
