Here is a list to my current pc I am moving to  a r9 390 but I need a suggestion for a good Psu and to make sure that I can play without my Gpu limiting me (I am going to OC my cpu and the new r9 390)

The G1 is a pretty mediocre psu. The GQ and G2 are significantly better. (and the GQ is actually cheaper)

You can't overclock the 4690K on that mobo. You'll have to buy a Z97 motherboard to do so.

well the G2 is like another $10-15 so he can do that if he wants. Its a damn good CPU for the price and has plenty of positive reviews on it to the point that I would feel comfortable buy it and using it

Don't worry about efficiency, it's so irrelevant it just doesn't matter. You're literally talking about a few dollars a year difference.

I personally completely disagree with you about efficiency. Having that efficiency means a more consistant power draw from the wall; meaning there is a smaller chance of power fluctuations which could damage your computer.

The 650w GQ makes sense from a cost standpoint, but I'd rather have the extra wattage that the 750w psu offers in case I wanted to add a second GPU in the future. And the 750w GQ also makes sense if you want to get a top tier psu, but I wouldn't go with the GQ just because it's 80+ gold but rather because I want a top tier psu (that just so happens to also be 80+ gold).

Sapphire Nitro if you want the best, otherwise any of the 390s are pretty good -- some a bit louder than others, some not as cool as others.

Ok guys I just wanted to say that I want to make this the final upgrade to this machine and them I am going to live with it for 4 years until I build a new pc for college so I don't need a psu that is much more than the required ammount.

All that being said why should I not use This psu?

There aren't any really good deals on PSUs right now. An EVGA B1 500/Corsair CX600 are both $40~, but both are pretty budget PSUs (and not something I would recommend for your system). Then you don't really have any other decent alternatives until you get to the $65~ price point of the EVGA B2 750w (which is why I suggested it).

Ok well do you know of any good times to get a deal on a psu coming up un the next 8 months? Also should I get the 390 or wait until the R9 480 come out?

PSU deals come and go on a daily basis, the deals on mid-range units just aren't there right now. 

 

It's going to be months before any new GPUs come out that are worth talking about....so I'd upgrade now if you need more performance.

I dont need it too bad I can get  30fps on the Witcher 3 at max setting so I'm ok but I need to buy within the next 8-10 months so I was wondering about the the 480 being a viable option
