Need Help computer keeps turning on

so after i finish playing games, i will shut down my pc. All the lights and fans will turn off and i leave my room. I will come in about 20 or so mins later to find the lights are blinking indicating the pc is in sleep mode. What is going on?

no but 4 real, go into settings and power profiles, make sure that it is correct(just look that bit up) otherwise, u hav a trojan, sry m8

Might be that you have a short in the power / reset, either on your motherboards header, or on your cases IO.

TURN OFF THE SLEEP MODE 100%

It sounds like not only is it turning itself on but then timing out due to idle and going to sleep... all in 20 minutes... what are your power settings!?

try unplugging it entirely, and hit the power button a few times to possibly drain any excess power that is retaining. then plug back in and see if it still turns on, on its own.

It's literally called "power options".  Just search the start menu

ok, so you must have been out of the room for 10 minutes longer than you thought

That seems a little short, but I guess it's personal preference.

Regardless that explains why it's going to sleep, but why is it turning itself on... 

That could be caused by many things, almost certainly all hardware.  When I got my PC it would do the same thing, but after a while it just stopped.

i realize i had a mouse update. i updated that. also i am reading that a wifi (which i have) could be set to wake computer up

i tthink i figured it out. i read on windows forum that after doing all this stuuf there is an option for whether mouse, keyboard could wake computer. they were checked and since i needed to update mouse, it kept turning it on

That shouldn't have made it possible for the computer to cold boot itself without warning, but I guess if the problem has stopped...
