I'm currently using my ex PC as a donor for our Media/NAS box, and would like to have it feed into the main house's system (like a set top box does), this is where the trouble starts.

The system currently is Roof Aerial > Living room > pick up Sky/DVD what have you > back up to the roof (main splitter) > distributed throughout the house, obviously I can stick it on HDMI but I'm interested in getting it hooked into the pre-existing system so it can be watched throughout the house.

From what I've seen though, the options are cheap crappy TV tuner card with just an input, or crazy expensive ones with in/out, which seems strange to me given you can get a DVD player/set top box for very little, which does both what I want and more.

Anyway, I'm asking for advice on what to do, if theres anything capable of doing the same thing, either using the standard In/Out Coaxial Ariel system or I'd be interested in HDMI in > Coaxial out if it can be done cheaper (as that can do the majority of what I'm interested in doing).
