I fucked up.

So basically I broke the end of my 3.5mm cord inside the plug on my motherboard.... I need some help getting it out, it's the little knob piece at the end that locks the plug in the socket... 

If you have the option to get a high refresh rate monitor, do it.

Yeah I don't have a very steady hand so 99% chance I'd get it stuck on the side haha

A pair of long nosed pliers? That seems like the most obvious answer, but it might not be a possibility. 

A small pair of tweezers could also be used.

 

If neither of those things can get to the knop, then you probably have to take the soundcard appart.
