Lg flatron tv problems

Every half a year or so when I turn on my tv it comes up with a white screen with a moving grey box at the top that says V3.05.0. The only way I can turn it off is by unplugging it and if I press return the tv works but all my settings are reset and I have to retune the tv. Help please.
