RAID or no RAID

I want to have 500GB for a boot storage but im not sure weather to have 2 250gb in RAID0 Samsung 850 evos' or to have one singular one.

 

Im going to have Windows/useful applications/a few games on this so should i do?

A single drive. There's basically no benefit in RAID0 for a boot drive.

Pros:

- Faster transfers for large files

 

Cons:

- Theoretically double the chances of losing data

- Slower boot times (RAID controller and array need to initialise before booting)

- More power draw (admittedly, they don't use much)
