I've never seen my CPU do this before but everything is at stock settings and I have turbo enabled but I manually set my CPU turbo ratio to 43 to get 4.3Ghz out of it and I left my core voltage set to offset and auto mode and the CPU is overvolting itself when under load to what i would say is actually a good voltage. I know my CPU is stable at 4.4Ghz with 1.300v on the core and at 4.3Ghz the CPU is automatically overvolting to about 1.288v.

Is this normal behavior for turbo boost when you up the maximum multiplier? I've never seen my CPU do this on it's own before it never seemed to work.

this is normal, its just not perfect. synthetic benchmarks like prime for example are designed to pull more and more power. in this case auto voltage would be very bad. just keep an eye on your voltage to be safe. but it most likely can run the frequency at lower voltage.
