Need help buying a router

Hey I wanted to buy a new router and I don't know how to choose

well, you choose based on the following:

- budget

- location (this decides the availability of different brands, for example the google one hub thing isnt available in europe yet)

- hardware requirements (wifi, gigabit, vpn, etc.)

What do u mean by hardware requirements

if it has wifi or not, if its 100Mbit or gigabit, if it has other features like a built in vpn, number of LAN ports matters for some people as well, the firmware on the device, and so on.
