WD My Cloud Need help

Go to solution Solved by chickenwing,

I have fixed it!

I have a tp link switch, when i turned off MTU VLAN setting and then typed in the ip i got in.
I have had that setting on for ages but for some reason after the firmware update on the my cloud, it didnt let me in. So after turning it off it now lets me in!

I have a WD My Cloud One bay NAS drive.
I can get access to my files with the app but none of my PC's can see it on the network. When i type the IP in i cant access it.
I used advanced ip scanner and it cant find it. My router can see it and says the ip is: 192.168.0.13 but it doesn't work.

All the programs i've downloaded from WD website can't see the drive.

Can someone help me get into the dashboard?

What other troubleshooting steps have you taken?

try typing in http://wdmycloud.local to a web browser such as firefox or chrome

try rebooting the ENTIRE network (shut down every computer and network component and reboot them one at a time.)

check for firmware updates.

Let me know if any of these help

My Rig: 2x Xeon x5690 @ 3.45Ghz 24GB DDR3 EEC RAM Asus STRIX GeForce GTX 970 SuperMicro X8DT3 Windows Server 2008 R2

Here's a little TL;DR of what you need to know about the GTX 970 and R9 390

R9 390 works better in VRAM-bound scenarios and compute bound scenarios and is best paired with higher end processors

GTX 970 works better in CPU-bound scenarios and tessellation bound scenarios and is best paired with lower end processors

Hey there chickenwing :)

Great hearing you've resolved it. The update did change some things for easier and faster access to your data and this setting might be interfering with the new firmware. If you want to know why I'd contact our live support here and ask the guys for a bit more info: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=FOYK7O

Post back if you need more info or if you have further questions :)

If this helped you, like and choose it as best answer - you might help someone else with the same issue. ^_^
