about 2 weeks ago i came up with the idea to use mini-itx as a way to make small, powerful, efficient and affordable render nodes for a network render farm. the use case is for adobe aftereffects or whatever else you would use a small network render farm for. as hard as i tried i could not keep the price under $1000 (usd) here is the parts list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/fYTPMp

i really wanted to fit this all in a node 202 but sadly it doesn't have the rad support and might not fit both it and the 950. also for some reason http://pcpartpicker.com doesn't have the node 202 listed at all.

i would love to hear your thoughts on this and see if anyone can come up with something smaller and just as powerful.

sidenote: i know i could have gone with a low profile air cooler but i personally can't stand the idea of not water cooling anything more than a core i5.

sidenote 2: it would appear i mispoke, there is room for dual 120mm fans in the node 202 but i am still unsure that i could fit the gtx 950 and the h55. if anyone knows for sure please let me know.

Wrong link. You want to use the permalink at the top of the build page.
