Broken Galaxy Gear

Hello internets,

So I recently came into possession of an original Galaxy Gear, and have been using it with my Galaxy S6. My problem is that so far, I only seem to be able to get SMS notifications, no Gmail, Facebook, or the many other third party apps that I have selected for notifications in the Gear Manager App. I've searched high and low all over for a solution to this problem, and having come up very empty, am now turning to the forum. Does anyone have any idea? The watch is running the latest firmware possible (checked in Gear Manager) and the settings in the Manager are all what they should be. Cheers in advance.
