At this time I'm running my rig with a Kingston 120GB SSD, a 250 GB Samsung 850 Evo and a 1TB WD Blue HDD.

When I went and re-installed Windows 10 after I upgraded from Windows 7 (I planned to initially dual-boot with 10 on the Evo and 7 on the Kingston while I tested out 10), the setup decided to put the MFT space (or whatever 100MB or so of non-OS data is as I can't recall at this time) on the Kingston while the OS went onto the Evo. I was wondering is there would be any way to transfer that over to the Evo, and if there isn't, if it would do any harm to overwrite it and install 7 on the Kingston (I would prefer to not have to re-install 10 as I have over 100GB worth of stuff I would have to re-download on the Evo).

The second question is about my WD Blue (which I use for mass storage of videos, anime, etc.) I was wondering if I am not accessing it, does it go into a low-power/sleep mode which should help extend it's lifespan, or does it spin at an idle speed until I decide to access it?
