video card problem

i have a r9 290 video card... when i use the onboard display in the motherboard it works fine... it goes through the motherboard logo, bios, windows 7 logo, then the blue welcoming screen... but when i try to plug the video card, it starts at the windows 7 logo first does not even load the motherboard logo...then my monitor shuts down and says no connection... i cant enter the blue welcoming screen even tried safe mode..pls help me

is the moniter plugged into the motherboard or GPU

What power supply are you using? Have you connected the 6/8 pin connectors to the video card?

Can you switch from onboard to pci in your bios?

i cant enter bios when i use my video card cant see a damn thing all black screen

You can switch it while using the onboard graphics, then install the gpu and boot.

thank you so much sir... 1 thing i have noticed is that my video card  has a small complication... is that i need to disable the onboard display in order to have display...not like before i only use my video card displayafter my reformat... thnx sir sorry for the bad english

Did you previously have igpu multi monitor enabled in bios?
