So I currently have an old IDE hdd running freenas but I'm upgrading to a newer system that doesn't have and IDE slot and have got another HDD (sata) to run Freenas off of. I now need a usb bootable program that can clone these two hdd's for me. I just tried Clonezilla live but it gave me an error. Any other suggestions?

If you have the option to get a high refresh rate monitor, do it.

I'm not too sure I just did all the basic settings and when I started cloning it, about 30 seconds in it gave an error and said the log was saved to a folder in var but I can't find that on the flash drive that I installed it on

Thanks for the input but I've managed to get it cloning with clonezilla but with the "repair" option ticked which skips bad sectors on it and seems to be going good so far, it use to hang at 8.15% and now it's at 50+ and going strong :)

I use Clonezilla.  Worked 100% of the time so far.

Didn't seem to work but I'm just gonna go with a fresh install of Freenas
