I've seen people say that NVIDIA looks more washed out than AMD in terms of colours on HDMI. I use DVI, will I be affected?

Some benchmark vids showcase quite clearly.

Youtube compresses a lot, the colors aren't accurate at all, you should try to find RAW files, but the whole Nvidia is washed out is complete BS, colors look just as good through HDMI on Nvidia as on AMD... It just depends on your tv/monitor

I honestly don't care about HDMI, I'm just wondering if this extends to DVI?

Nope, the color throughput of both cards is equal (which is pretty damn accurate!)

Good. Just got a 980 Matrix in a trade with someone for my Fury + $150 for their 980 Matrix and a watercooling set from XSPC.

Look at it seriously. Nevermind the fact that your monitor may have different contrast and brightness settings, or maybe poor color reproduction; that is YouTube, the home of everything compressed. They don't host millions of full-size raw files, mate, so there's no chance you're going to get an apples to apples comparison with a video from there.

Secondly, DVI and HDMI are very similar. My main monitor and my second monitor are with one HDMI and one DVI, and they book look exact if I ignore the brightness on them, but I have flux in place so I'm just adding another variable.

I think it used to look more wash out for Nvidia with HDMI before because it use Limited Range RGB (16-235) by default and not Full Range RGB (0-255).
