I just got a ASUS GeForce GTX 970 STRIX and I can't seem to get it to work with my motherboard. Every I check it is compatible.

I have 

ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0

a 750 watt power supply

 

ASUS GeForce GTX 970 STRIX

 

 

Anyone know as to why I cant seem to get it to boot up with this card?

 

My computer will turn on and get to the point of where i can hit f3 for bios but it wont do anything buy sit at that window saying ASUS

In my computer the boot LED is a solid red

when is the the last time you updated your mobo BIOS?

 

 

what happens when you install your old GPU?

 

did you reset the CMOS?

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

try to reset CMOS first
