Do I need an ups?

Hello Guys!

I have a question if someone could answer it to me.

Where I live we are starting to get electricity regulatios as well as blackouts very frecuently (once a week) . I have my precious pc conected directly to the wall and is usually fine since it's turned off when I'm not at home and if there is a blackout i just disconect it until 10 mins after the energy is back on(I Have had 5 blackouts in 5 years living here 2 of wich where this week. The goverment anounced it will be frecuent from now on) . With all this problems comming ahead I was wondering if it might be a good Idea to get a UPS or if I'll be fine with a Voltage Regulator(shield). Since the ups a pretty expensive here and it's not somenthing I could really afford uless it is completly necesary .

If you dont have the system on, you should be fine with a surge protector, but if you are going to be powered on, it is better to use a ups.

Gust depends iff yu are ushually are ate home wen it blacs awt... Like my spelling :-) Jk...But seriously, are you usually home when it blacks out or not? If not then you should need to worry...
