I want these parts. Might use a FTW gpu instead of a Hybrid. I don't want to buy a 250 dollar motherboard.  Why doesn't it like this (still way expensive) one?

click on details. you have a x99 cpu but a skylake mbo and the mbo doesn't support your cpu cooler AND you choose a micro-ATx case but a ATX mbo.

Yup you need to decide on whether you want X99 or z170, then you need to decide what form factor(size) build you're going for.

- ASUS X99 Deluxe - i7 5820k - Nvidia GTX 1080ti SLi - 4x4GB EVGA SSC 2800mhz DDR4 - Samsung SM951 500 - 2x Samsung 850 EVO 512 -

- EK Supremacy EVO CPU Block - EK FC 1080 GPU Blocks - EK XRES 100 DDC - EK Coolstream XE 360 - EK Coolstream XE 240 -

Gaming. I picked the cpu because the game I'm going to play (when it comes out) will use the extra cores

Buying x99 just for gaming isn't really smart. Better go skylake i5-6600k and a 980ti or 390 depending on the resolution you play on.

Is that why only like 5 motherboards come up when I search?

I'm not sure what your searching for but both the X99 and z170 have a bunch of motherboards available(at least in ATX form factor) you might be limited to a small number if you are looking at small form factor options.

The case is really expensive, I would recommend something else, the hybrid card really isn't going to serve you any benifit

He did, but still, 5 is enough options in my mind.

So the cpu requires that motherboard?

Cpu requires X99 mbo, Case requires mini-ATX.

But again, for just gaming you don't need that many cores, x99 is for edditing/rendering and CAD modeling.

MBO short for motherboard?

But don't I need a micro or normal atx?  Not mini?

pcpartpicker says it's compatible, you can probably get it cheaper somewhere else.
