New PC FPS Drops

NXIV

Hi Guys, I just recently finished my skylake pc build and i'm having problems with the FPS in most games.

I'm running a
- Intel Core i7 6700K Processor

- Asus Z170 Sabertooth Mark 1

- Gigabyte GTX 970 Xtreme Gaming

It's fine on some triple A titles like Just Cause 3, GTA V and Rise of the Tomb Raider. but i suffer a lot of fps drops in games like CS:GO and league of legends. is there anyway i can fix this?

You sure that anything is actually wrong 1st of all? I just played though portal 2 again  and would be running i nthe hundreds of fps then randomly hit 40 in a few very small sections for a second or too.

the fact you are running the more demanding games with ease makes me think the games are just being quirky

just dips on certain games though still doesn't explain why it the frame drops at games like league and cs which are supposed to run so smooth like a baby's butt.
