Hello! I'm new to this forum and I've watched LinusTechTips a bunch of times and I decided to ascend into the pcmasterrace. I have an idea of what my build is going to be, and I have a budget of around 1220. can't go over it (final base price, without rebates) and I want to play on ONE 1080p 144hz monitor, preferably an Asus VG248QE. I don't care for color scheme, I would like it to be white or something light. I have an idea, and I wanted to know if it was good or not.

the thing I would add is an SSD (preferably like a 240 GB so you can put your OS and a few programs on there) , it will make the computer feel SO much faster launching stuff, I know from changing out from a mechanical HDD to an SSD, my computer feels lightyears faster.

this is what I got, but pretty much any SSD from a reputable brand like kingston, samsung, crucial, adata, etc should be okay.

I got you, should I replace the HD with the SSD and get the HD as like an upgrade?

depends on if your budget can support it, I personally think it would be nice to have both at once, because after downloading a few games onto an SSD, it can eat up space quickly so having the extra space of a mechanical HDD is nice, but the nice thing is adding an HDD is a pretty simple upgrade.

I wouldn't recommend the HDD. Try a Western Digital Blue 1tb. I heard that it wasn't very reliable :/.

Research it though...

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
