E5-2670 dual.

Hello everyone. I was wondering if someone can help me set up a computer for less then $1000? I want to use dual E5-2670 and have as much ram as possible. My budget right now is only around 1.2k so I can only afford 1 cpu for now. I will get another cpu when I have the money. I'm having problems finding a motherboard for the xeons and also compatitable ram. Any help would be appreciated. It is to make a lot of Vms.

I'd get this:

 

2x 2670 -- $150. Can get two if you want a beastly machine

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157352 -- $300. It's a cheap motherboard that gives you lots of room to expand

4x Kingston 8GB ECC -- $200. You can get better deals on eBay. This memory is on the QVL for the above motherboard. If you get the same part, but the 4GB sticks, you could save money if you don't want to run much else.

2x Hyper 212 Evo -- $60. You won't need powerful cooling for these chips.

Seasonic s12ii 520W -- $65. You need a power supply that has two 8-pin or 8/4 pin connectors for most server boards, and this is one of the cheapest that has it. I use it for my dual Xeon server, and it's been great.
