So I'm designing a custom laptop case and I'm looking into if there is any market for it. What I'm designing is a modular laptop case capable of fitting desktop components such as an ITX motherboard, and a dual slot video card. This case would be about 3 inches thick, 12 inches, and 10 inches long.(Rough estimate). It will include a built in keyboard(and maybe a trackpad if I can fit it in). For the screen, I'm considering two routes. One is to have the top half of the laptop have a Vesa mount for a small/thin monitor, another is to find a way to include a built in one. Now I know what your thinking: what about the battery? I think I've actually found a way to allow for plugging in and storing a charge much like a normal laptop but with two preexisting products working together, which I could either link customers to buy separately or include as a kit.(I don't want to divulge the solution I figured out at the moment, out of fear that someone will copy it and get a prototype out first.) So two questions: First, is this something that interests you? An ITX case for your desktop that provides ultimate portability and convenience because its a laptop? And if so, how much would you think would be reasonable to pay for such a product? At what point would the obvious advantages no longer be worth it? Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!

Don't do drugs. Do hugs!
